This flask on the Washington side is the same as the GI-37. The bust of Washington is almost same as the GI-37. The lettered embossing is also the same as the GI-37 in the panel surrounding Washington. On the Taylor side of the flask, Taylor inside of an oval panel no embossing on the inside of the panel or for that matter no embossing at all on the Taylor side. This flask is in the Gerard ( Jerry ) Dauphinais Collection and is extremely rare as Taylor has no buttons at all on his coat where in this example the GI-45 Taylor should have 4 buttons. The colors this flask was available in were Pale Yellow Green and Aquamarine.
This flask from the Gerard (Jerry ) Dauphinais collection is an extremely rare and quite likely the first one of a bunch of test blows on the mold due to the fact on Taylor's coat there are no buttons cut in yet. This is not the result of an under-blown mold issue due to the fact that relief exists around the area the buttons are located and in that area the proper embossing and relief exists accordingly. It is clear when viewing this flask in person that the buttons were not part of Taylor's Coat yet.
